WiTEC is an international organization for women in STEM, whose head office is in Sweden. WiTEC Sweden creates meeting places for female students and recent graduates within STEM together with business, entrepreneurs and organizations.

WiTEC story is an effort for equality. Since its inception in 1988, they have been working to increase the number of women studying or working in technical, scientific and innovative fields.
Since Sweden’s entry into the EU, WiTEC SWEDEN, in collaboration with various partners in Sweden and the rest of Europe, has carried out a number of projects to increase gender equality and strengthen women’s position in traditionally male-dominated sectors such as technology, science, IT and economics. The question of breaking gender segregation in working life, and of attracting more women to the male-dominated technology-oriented sector, is at least as current today as when WiTEC started over 30 years ago. Through their projects they help support women’s careers in innovation and entrepreneurship, while building networks both nationally and internationally.
